Cosan Construction is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician Near Mount Vernon, NY

Cosan construction is a large scale masonry & flooring contractor based in Mt Vernon. We are looking to hire a Heavy Equipment Technician.

This candidate would be responsible for the following;

- Day to day activities will include but not limited to;

- Scheduled service, maintenance and repair of our fleet of specialty concrete pumps, trucks, forklifts and skid steers.

- Parts ordering & inventory.

- Maintaining workshop.

- Candidates should have a mechanical or technical background with general knowledge of diesel engine components, electrical and hydraulic systems.

- Welding & fabrication experience is a plus.

- Will train qualified candidates.

This candidate should meet the following criteria;

- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently.

- Reliable and punctual.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekends as needed

  • Mount Vernon, NY 10550: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

  • Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Preferred)
  • Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (Required)
